Once again, I'll plug Skype. Especially since now that I've arrived, I'm sitting in the beautiful and well equipped computer lab at the Arcadia center and Skype is available and downloaded on these computers. Fortunately, I also brought my headset/microphone, but not today. Regardless, even without those things you can use Skype to instant message for free with anyone around the world.
