Hapana Asante

While we were in class, we learned a phrase that came in handy many times over this morning. Hapana Asante means "No thank you." So if, for example, you're approached to purchase items from a street vendor that you're not interested in or a gentleman approaches you, you can simply state, "Hapana Asante" and they get the idea. After walking around town for a short period of time, we were approached less, so the locals are getting used to us, I guess.
